"Whilst working on the 'Merdancers' series, it occurred to me that as with any variation of continents and climates there would be differing ethnicity’s. Since I have placed the mermaids geographically, in this world at some point in the distant future, this mermaid would be somewhere within the region of the South Atlantic and Indian ocean.
I used Somalian model-Iman (Mrs David Bowie )as the basis for the features of this one."-DG
