It depicts a drowning man, who’s salvation is ever at arms length, if only he can stay buoyant a little longer. The exotic creature can save the man from the subterranean darkness of his plight, but must decide if saving him will leave herself vulnerable. Like all of my paintings, It represents a paradox between the light and dark.
